Most of our providers have been here more than five years, which in primary care is unusual enough to be worth explaining. The short version is that we protect appointment length and admin time.
Independent ownership mostly shows up in scheduling decisions. Standard visits are twenty minutes because the clinicians using them decided that, and charting time is on the schedule rather than expected afterwards. Panels are capped, which costs the practice money and saves everybody else.
Nobody here will pretend the work is easy. Winter is hard, the phones are busy and the paperwork is the paperwork. What we can promise is that the structural decisions are made in this building, by people who have to live with them.
