Questions our front desk hears most

Grouped by topic. If yours is not here, call the clinic and ask. Nobody minds the question, and the person answering the phone works in the building.

Appointments

Use the booking form on this site or call the clinic. The form takes about two minutes and the front desk confirms by text the same business day. Existing patients can also request a time through the patient portal.

Yes. Every clinic holds same-day slots each weekday morning and Riverpoint holds them on Saturday mornings too. Calling before 10 am gives the best chance of being seen that day.

Yes, and we encourage it. Adults and children are assigned a primary provider and we protect that pairing when booking. If your provider is away and you need care today, a colleague with access to your full chart will see you.

Please give us 24 hours where you can, so the slot can go to somebody who needs it. Repeated missed appointments without notice may be charged a sample fee of $40.

Brief visits are 15 minutes, standard visits 20, well-child visits 30, and annual physicals and menopause consultations 40. Check-in adds about five minutes if you have completed the intake form at home.

Insurance and billing

We accept most major commercial plans in Washington, Apple Health, Medicare Part B and TRICARE West. The full sample list is on the new patient page. Always check with your plan, because networks change.

We publish sample self-pay rates for every visit type and charge them at the time of service. A standard visit is $110 (sample). Payment plans are available for larger balances.

Most plans cover a preventive annual visit in full. If a new problem is addressed during that visit, part of the appointment may be billed as a separate office visit. We will tell you when that is about to happen.

No. Portal messages answered by your care team are not billed. If a message turns into something that needs a full visit, we will offer you an appointment rather than bill for the message.

Request one through the portal or by phone and we will send it within two business days. Our billing team works in the building and will walk through any line you do not recognise.

Your care

Most of our providers are accepting new patients. Dr. Park's older adult panel is currently full but she keeps a waiting list. The providers page shows who is open.

Give us your previous clinic's name on the intake form and sign the release. We request the records and they usually arrive within two weeks, before your first visit where possible.

An after-hours nurse line is answered every evening and weekend for Riverbend patients. Sample hours are on the contact page. For anything that could be an emergency, call 911.

Ask your pharmacy to send the request, or message your care team through the portal. Allow two business days. Controlled substances usually require a visit.

Yes. Every result is posted with a plain-language note from your provider. Anything abnormal gets a phone call rather than only a message.

Telehealth

Follow-up on a known problem, medication questions, rashes, mental health visits, minor illness and results discussions. Anything that needs an exam, an ear look or a same-day lab is better in person.

No. A link arrives by text 15 minutes before the visit and opens in your browser. Allow camera and microphone access when prompted.

No. Licensing rules require you to be physically in Washington State during the visit. Tell us if you will be travelling and we will find another option.

We book you an in-person slot, usually the same or next day, and you are not charged for both visits.

Still stuck?

Call the clinic during opening hours, or use the after-hours nurse line in the evening and at weekends. For anything that could be an emergency, call 911.

Still want to speak to someone?

The front desk answers the phone during opening hours and books the right length of appointment for whatever is going on.

Most major Washington plans accepted. Sample self-pay rates published for every visit type.
